👑 Always Been a Boss: The 2000–2004 Boston Hustle I was just sitting here reflecting on my college days at Suffolk University from 2000 to 2004 as a Comminications/PR major, and honestly, I have to give my younger self some serious credit. I wasn't just a student—I was running a literal empire across a few city blocks in downtown Boston. Before the corporate world, my daily schedule was an absolute whirlwind: • 📚 Balancing a full-time course load up on Beacon Hill at Suffolk. • 👟 Training clients as a Personal Trainer at Boston Sports Clubs (Government Center). • 👗 Slinging peak Y2K fashion at Wet Seal in Downtown Crossing. • 🍻 Serving pints and bangers & mash for the massive lunch and post-work crowds at The Kinsale Irish Pub. • 🎱 Navigating the wild, packed weekend nightlife scene at The Rack by Faneuil Hall as a cocktail waitress. Tips went in the boots was the best part. Lol. 😆 And to top it all off? I was interning at The Castle Group, where I got to work behind the scenes on some of the biggest events in Boston history—including the 2004 Democratic National Convention and major Red Sox events during their legendary curse-breaking championship year. The hustle didn’t start there, either. I was putting in that work back in high school in New Hampshire before I ever stepped foot in the city. Lifeguard, hostess, ice cream scooper, Market Nasket cashier, Christmas Tree seller and babysitter. Sometimes you have to look back to remember exactly who you are. The venues might have changed, but the work ethic never did. Built different since day one! 💪✨👑
