To get £500 pcm is impossible. Don’t need profits just knock an amount off every month. And at the end of years it’s worth what it’s worth so profit.

I rent out 650. mortgage is 109. landlord insurance 37 tax roughly 50 I think I clear a decent return. house cost 82k.

tax and mortgage interest will swallow the majority of that £500. Sorry, but it's never been less rewarding, hence many landlords selling up
