Guys Jenny was trying to protect forest from herself and she didn’t do it the right way because she was mentally ill, she was horribly abused her early childhood and she is obviously mentally ill. She didn’t want somone as pure as forset to be ruined by her, but when she got pregnant and was dieing she knew she needed somone for her kid. And forest wasn’t gonna give up on her anyway.
