JD Vance said a Yale Law professor told him that they shouldn't accept people from public undergrad because they don't have time for remedial classes.

Is it true college admission don't look at test scores or grades? There is a "Dr." on he here telling people this and AP classes are useless!

I worked in undergrad Admissions at a private university and agree. Now, I work as a tech recruiter and not much has changed. The biases exist

Sounds like Harvard since HS is part of the app. I always wondered if they discriminated against older (i.e., 30 y.o.) applicants.

As an aspiring MBA, this is really disheartening to hear. Sucks that high performing public school kids aren’t given the same consideration

Went to a non-elite public school (full ride merit scholarship) then got into an M7. The shade I got when I was there was UNREAL.

Good advice. One caveat- the school guides are bc MBA admissions gets apps from all over the world. They need to be able to calibrate on schools…
