Happy #WorldPangolinDay! Here are some fun facts about our scaly friends. 1. Pangolins have long sticky tongues that are great for eating insects. There tongues can be up to 28 inches long! 2. Despite their scaly appearance, pangolins are mammals. Their scales are made up of keratin, the same as your fingernails. 3. Pangolins are the most trafficked animal on the planet. All eight species are protected under national and international law. 4. GPZoo’s pangolins are kept behind the scenes in a special temperature controlled building.
