It is the same pump used in RVs. If it is running randomly you have a slow leak, drip, somewhere. It has a pressure switch, you're losing pressure.

I put mine on a switch so I can shut it off when I walk out the door just in case something ever burst when I’m not in the camp. Yours is quieter

I added a accumulater tank next to it and it make a huge difference. Seaflo makes one for this specific one.

You can cut noise by 30-40% on anything by building a box around it made out of those insulation boards. All you need is the boards, glue & a knife
