@quranspeaks: We need to talk about #racism against #black #Muslims in our community. Because while #Islam isn’t racist, Muslims can be. The Quran has an explicitly #anti-racist stance. Many respected and well-known Muslims in early Islam were black, but their stories were whitewashed over time. Safiyyah Ally says we must re-examine our biases and work towards living the true message of Islam. We’re one ummah; we're in this world to strive for goodness together. And racism is a spiritual disease that harms the person with the prejudice just as much as it does the person impacted. Let's work harder to get rid of it. #blackhistorymonth
