My mil had the exact same situation, except brain cancer. I regret not suing them after pulling her medical records. It was extreme negligence. 😔

nurse friend doing rounds at a home. staff said a whole wing was difficult & loud. friend ordered tests...every single female had raging UTI.

I worked at a place a resident was supposed to get 2 hr checks, she didn’t and was found dead under her bed. Was hushed.

In 1992 I cared for my grandfather that had Alzheimer's and couldn't walk. We had the Hospital bed and would tie him in bed at night for his safety.

Cant get to her fast enough with a bed alarm. We use fall mats because we cant use side rails to help people stay in bed .

When our acuity is like a Step Down Unit & our CNA’s ratio is 1:12 it’s just unrealistic to give good care but that’s our Gov!

Im in Fl. 1 staff for 35 patients in most facilities. falls, tell the nursing home u want passive restraints. only around waist can move just not up
