Let’s keep our brother Zoe in our prayers. He believes in God, but his beliefs are a mixture of different spiritual ideas. He shared that he holds some Islamic beliefs, does not believe that Jesus is God, believes that he himself is an angel, and even referenced Dragon Ball Z while explaining his understanding of blood sacrifice. This conversation proves why we don’t just need evangelism. We need DISCIPLESHIP. I know there is likely a Christian who knows someone like Zoe personally. Someone who has direct access to them. Someone who hears what they believe, sees the confusion, and has an opportunity to point them toward the truth of Jesus Christ. This is your sign. There is someone you know closely who may have beliefs just like Zoe. Maybe they believe in God, but their theology is mixed with Islam, spirituality, culture, social media, entertainment, or their own personal ideas. And God may have placed YOU close enough to them to have the conversations that a stranger may never get the opportunity to have. We cannot take evangelism and discipleship lightly. People are perishing. People need the Gospel. People need sound doctrine. And sometimes the mission field isn’t across the world. Sometimes it’s already in your contacts.
