Replying to @mynightmare52 our whole group got some so it’s something to keep us all connected. I went through a whole soul metamorphasis on this trip. I had brought the Alchemist with me and read it on my flight and it really set the tone. I will say something like this would not be for everyone. A girl left 2-3 days after she got there. There’s no ac *unless u get lucky and get the ac room* (u are also right by the equator) and more mosquitos than you can imagine. I thought I knew mosquitos cuz of japan. No LOL i also cannot tell you guys where this is I’m sorry! I don’t feel comfortable putting this town that is truly secluded and one of the SMALLEST villages in the world on blast. I’m sure you can see why I can’t just glorify the place saying it changed me and share that to potentially thousands of people who will have rose colored vision after hearing my stories when there’s not even 1000 people who live there. Also being an important beach for multiple protected species that is 1 disgusting because the beach is covered in rotting eggs 2 too dangerous to swim in 3 so remote theres no grocery store in town and 4 if you get bit by a sea snake u have to go over a river that floods often to go to the hospital with an antidote and the river often floods making it impossible to cross. You can try to go to the other hospital but its 50/50 they carry the antidote and if u tried crossing the river first you will not make it 😳 allllso first night there I slept in a bed full of termites FULL OF TERMITES. It changed me LOL you also stay 6 people to a room co-ed with bunkbeds and we had a spicket for a shower head. Idk if i ever felt fully clean for the month I was there. I also got a foot fungus from the showers even though we cleaned it OFTEN. Oh you will also have to smell other peoples poop daily bc u throw away all ur toilet paper since the plumbling cant handle toilet paper which you get used to fast but because we were 6 people using 2 stuffy toilets you can imagine how the smell would become worse than a porta potty. There are so many beautiful places there meant for tourists but this place isnt. If u still wanna know dm on ig #sorryitsmari #seaturtles
