@gardeningaddiction: Marigolds are something I grow every single year no matter what. Not only are they pretty, but they are a great pest deterrent. They are also adored by bumblebees! The marigolds you see in this video are of the 'Crackerjack' variety and they can get up to about 4 feet tall. Most normal varieties, like the French Marigold, stay low to the ground. They are very tolerant of the heat if you have a hot summer. Because they do prefer warm weather, you have to wait until after your last frost date to directly sow them outdoors. Transplants do not work as well, but you can do that if you want. It's just that directly sown seeds will end up getting much larger than a transplant, even if the transplant was weeks ahead. Marigolds work great for borders and on the outside of raised beds. It is also really easy to save the seeds so that you can continue to have beautiful (and free!) marigolds every year. #organicgardening #tiktokgarden #flowerseeds #gardening #marigolds #flowergarden
