Calzone Making calzones with my mother growing up was always a fun and unforgettable experience. From rolling out the dough to sneaking extra soppressata and mozzarella into my own, the kitchen was filled with laughter and love. Those moments weren’t just about cooking-they were about creating memories that will last a lifetime 🥰 The rich flavors blend beautifully, creating a perfect balance between salty, savory, and creamy. It’s a dish born from tradition, crafted with care, and filled with the authentic taste of our Calabrian heritage. Do you love a calzone as much as I do? 😁 #calzone #calzones #calzonepizza #italiancooking #southernitaly #italy #cook #cooking #chef #sandiego #foodnetworkfinds #california #super_italy #italia #food #Recipe Calzone Ingredients: 2.5 cups of flour 1 cups water 1 tablespoon of dry yeast 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon salt Filling : 1/4 pound of sliced mozzarella 1/4 pound of sliced soppressata 1/4 pound of Genova salami (add more or change the meat to your preference) Instructions: Mix all ingredients into a bowl. Let sit for twenty minutes. With rolling pin stretch out your dough into a large circle just like you would for pizza. On one side of the dough begin to add your ingredients, layer it well. Just as seen on the video, wet the outer layer with water which acts like the glue in order to seal it. Flip the dough and seal with fork. Preheat the oven at 350 degrees. Line your pizza pan with parchment paper. Brush your calzone with oil before you bake. Bake until it’s a golden brown color. Brush with oil after you remove it from the oven and let sit a few minutes before you slice it.
