Free boxes can be weird sizes but readily available from liquor stores! Just don’t use them to move in college freshman year! I learned the hard way

People are usually giving away moving boxes for free on Facebook marketplace! The idea is to pay it forward so once you’re done with your boxes you list them for free and give them to the next person 💓

Do not do the bag and hangers, just get wardrobe boxes and thank me later, much easier to use and they are dollyable

I make my open first box a backpack instead, so I can really tell it apart. But I do also label boxes super clearly so I can get things as needed.

The tip I’d like to share is, when you’re buying stuff to furnish your new place select the option to get your receipts emailed so you can always find it if you have to make a return/exchange. I’ve lost too many paper receipts 😣
