@mountainsteelfarrier: Normally when clinching I twist off the nail ends and set the nails with my clinch block, however in this case I cut the nails on the hoof stand. I think farriers have a few varieties of clinching depending on the horse they are shoeing and the reason they are shoeing (a client, a competition, a practice run for a competition).
