@it_is_me_dominique: I think back to Christmas time when a church put on a huge Christmas program where the drummers were floating from the ceiling, essentially it was a big production. Some people were upset about it, saying church was “no longer being set apart” and “how are you reaching people for Jesus with this”. But the thing is, each person that was a part of putting on that program was using their skills, talents, and abilities, aka their God given gifts to put on this whole production. I can’t speak to the program as a whole but I can appreciate how hard people worked on that whole process, from the production team to the people who were floating from the ceiling or up on stage. Honestly I thank God that we get to see people use all of these creative ideas and gifts to put on stuff like this in the church and to affect so many other aspects of everyday life in the world. So before we get upset with someone using gifts they have for the Lord let’s take a step back and ask ourselves if it’s actually wrong or if it’s just something we’re not used to!
