I'm glad I saw this. I trimmed mine with a toe nail clipper. No more issue. never had problems with the actual liners, just the retainer.

I don’t have a very sensitive gag reflex, I can literally touch my tonsils and my uvula without gagging. Back of throat is off limits though 😂

My dentist had to cut some of the roof of my retainer away because I gag easily and I couldn't stop gagging like it was so bad 😭
