The answer is correct but the way you get there matters. Later when you are doing formulas it matters.

multiplication is commutative. both ways are correct. students need to know this.

I don't get it. 5÷3 you are dividing the 5 into 3 parts. So logically, I would time it is 5 duplicated 3 times. If not, it is an English problem?
