Viral babywearing jacket hack! Using this is such a good way to keep baby dry and cozy while also not having to spend any extra money! You can use just about any jacket size if you have a carrier where the shoulder straps unbuckle. There are other tips and tricks for other types of carriers and I've shown them before and will continue showing and updating those! But, this is a great option for littler ones that you don't want drowning inside a large rain jacket but also want to keep them comfortable and dry. If you have your own rain jacket, you can pull that around to keep heat in better. Luckily it was just rainy and not cold. Have you used this hack before? I do use one hand to keep the hat in position and ensure that it does not go over baby's face. Baby should still always maintain clear airways even when using something to keep their head dry. I personally really love rain hats and sun hats over the hoods on the carrier for sun and rain protection, but sometimes you have to be practical and use what you have. Just make sure you are consistently monitoring and being aware that airflow is far more important than a little rain on baby's cheek. And of course, if I had felt that it was too cold or we weren't properly prepared, I would have chose to stay somewhere that was dry. And as always- be aware of your own body. With my first baby, I personally was not up for hiking with one baby for months, let alone tandem wearing two.
