@allisonmathisjones: One piece of advice that I always offer to those moving abroad is to find community wherever you go. A great way to do that is to find groups of locals who value relationships with English speakers. From what I’ve learned, many Japanese people want opportunities to speak and interact with native English speakers as it helps them to perfect their English speaking ability. I was super excited to take Harper to this English yoga class. We connected with a Japanese mother and daughter at the class and have a play date planned with them next week.
