@find_my_wildbylaurenjane: BOUNDARIES ✋🏼 Research indicates that when a person is in a Domestic Violence / Abusive Relationship they tend to give all control over to the other person. In my personal experience - “If they were happy, everyone was happy”… So… this then leads to people pleasing which can feel almost suffocating and like you don’t have a say in your own life which if you are giving your control away but not setting boundaries, then you effectively don’t. The first step to establishing Boundaries is asking yourself what you will accept and then what you won’t. This is a process I personally do for all major relationships in my life. 👩👧👦👧🏽 Boundaries with my kids 👯♀️ Boundaries with my friends 👟 Boundaries with my work 📲 Boundareis for myself with social media and phone time. I set myself a simple way of setting boundaries and then I stick to them.
