I think his other ingredients like the mushroom are fighting/working with the glycolic to make it not as irritating

I think 1% Glycolic Acid is a very gentle formula, specifically in a cleanser.

To defend JS, in terms of mkup,his manufacture cost is much more expensive,he works very closely with his team. So I’m sure in skincare he does it too
