@stormybluee: (PART 5): Listen up! The History lesson you needed today 🔥 Have you been to @attucks_theatre in @downtown757 ?? I was able to check it out for the first time to witness a Jazz show! I was fortunate enough to learn the rich history of the Attucks. For starters, the Attucks is named after Crispus Attucks who was a runaway Slave is actually known as “The hero of the Boston Massacre” 🔥 The tour I got was amazing, to see some of the original artwork, door signage, gain an understanding of the Theatre, and more was something I truly will remember forever! The Attucks Theatre is Black History! For the building to be built, financed, and operated from African-Americans means a lot, especially it being in the early 1920’s! The Attucks was more than just a Theatre to the community, it was a safe haven where African-Americans could come together.
