So I’m autistic and as a child we kept a dry wash cloth or hand towel on the side or on the toilet/sink for me to dry my face off . Really helped me

my son is also autistic so I get the struggle! they sell a hat that goes around their head so the water slides down that instead of in his face.

If you can get one of them detachable sprayer hoses and then use an extra washcloth to soak the water up before it gets all over his face
