@diningwithshay: It’s National Strawberry Day, so lets make… Strawberry Shortcake Biscuit Donuts 🍓🍩 1 can refrigerated flaky biscuits (8 count) Filling: 1 pint strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced 3 Tbsp sugar 1 cup heavy cream,cold 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 cup powdered sugar Strawberry Sugar Coating: 1/2 cup sugar 2 Tbsp freeze-dried strawberry powder 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted Combine sliced strawberries and 3 Tbsp sugar in a small bowl. Let sit for at least 30 minutes or until juices are released. Combine 1/2 cup sugar with the strawberry powder and set aside. *I used a sieve because my powder was chunky. Preheat air fryer at 360 degrees for 2 minutes. Carefully open the biscuits and remove the middle with a 1-inch cutter (optional). Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and cook at 360 for 6 minutes. Alternatively, bake in oven according to package directions. While the donuts are cooking, whip the cream with a hand mixer until peaks start to form. Add vanilla and powdered sugar and continue whipping until you reach stiff peaks. Once donuts are cooked, carefully dip in melted butter then into strawberry sugar to coat. Slice in half and top with macerated strawberries followed by the whipped cream.
