@therapyjessaofficial: Words have consciousness and anxiety is a subjective feeling. Don’t believe me? Interview 15 people and ask them how anxiety shows up in their body… many will have different answers. But the word “anxiety” creates similar FEELINGS when thought about. Try this: what do you FEEL when you THINK about anxiety? ➖fear ➖tension ➖tightness ❕❕❕Going forward I would like you to EITHER A) NAME your anxiety something different, like Alfred or pikachu. Whenever you are feeling it, address it by its name Or B) name anxiety “ALARM” THIS IS STEP ONE. ❕❕❕ This post is rooted in neuroscience with a basic understanding of the reticular activating system(RAS) “the RAS seeks information that validates your beliefs. It filters the world through the parameters you give it, and your beliefs shape those parameters. If you think you are bad at giving speeches, you probably will be. If you believe you work efficiently, you most likely do.” IF YOU THINK YOU ARE EXPERIENCING ANXIETY AND ALL THAT IS TIED UP IN THAT FEELING- YOU WILL GO DOWN THAT SIMILAR PATH. RETRAIN the brain to a new neural system and new relationship to the anxiety feeling. #anxiety #anxietytips #MentalHealth #therapytok #anxietyrelief
