I have to be honest, the backpack wasn’t much better. I was so sweaty and tired. I’d just bring a suitcase and pay the porters to take it up next time

I’ve traveled all over Europe and never at any point was a suitcase acceptable. Backpacks and small carry on only this is coming from a pilots wife😂

It’s worth the money to pay a porter to take them up for you. And it stimulates the local economy. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Lol.

When I went to Amalfi we stopped in at a store for groceries & they offered to drive our suitcases & groceries up to the Airbnb we were staying at. 🥰
