I gained 3 million views from just 1 TikTok video in 5 days. The video wasn’t generic too, it was related to the marketing industry. It was about doing keyword research on TikTok. In which I taught people how to use a new TikTok feature in order to help them get them more engagement from their content. Want to guess how many trackable leads or sales I got from that video? A whopping 0. Sure I’m building brand awareness so it isn’t a total loss, but creating basic content that is related to your industry doesn’t really help generate sales. Especially in B2B. The key with selling online through content is two fold: 1. Get very specific about solving advanced problems. You won’t get the views but people facing that problem are more likely to hire you. 2. Show the results of companies you’ve worked with that have used the strategy you just explained. People love seeing case studies, it pushes them to initiate a conversation with you. Include those 2 things. I guarantee your view counts will go down, but at least your revenue will go up.
