For anyone reading this and wanting into commercial real estate- this is what I did. I'm an investor versus a broker but the same applies to people looking for a sales job. Find a deal. IE a property. And/or find somebody with money who wants to invest in deals. If you're wanting a job with the brokerage- send the deal to the broker. They will want to hire you because they want more deals. Some people will say that they might just steal it from you, but that's bad business sense. They want 10 more deals. I do the same with commercial properties. I find a great deal. I find developer or investor who has the money but who can't find good deals. I bring the deal to them. If they buy it, I get an ownership piece, IE equity in the property. For finding the deal as well as, very often, being the liaison between the lender, city, development officials, contractors, etc. If you're reading this- this works on 500 ft fixer uppers.. 750,000 sq ft historic adaptive reuse redevelopments Happy 2026 to all
