Also never put the spare tire on the axle that is getting power from the motor. For example, if you have front wheel drive and your flat is a front tire, swap it with your opposite rear tire and put the spare in its spot.

YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO TORQUE YOUR TIRES NOT HAND TIGHTEN. THEY ARE DIFFERENT FOR EVERY CAR BUT OTHERWISE YOUR TIRES CAN AND WILL FALL OFF WHEN YOU DRIVE

Do yourself a favor and buy the compact floor jack. you can use the handle to break the lugs by slipping it over the oe handle
