When I was 19 I literally quit gaming for 6 months because I thought it was the reason I was skinny and lazy. 7 years later after building my dream physique I realized gaming has the power to do literally the opposite. 1: Keep playing video games.  Seriously. You learn discipline, self mastery, and persistence in gaming, BUT you need to reframe it as a tool that MAKES you more successful first. I'll explain this on the last slide.   2: Follow a Full body 3x/week OR upper lower 4x/week program.  No need to be in the gym every day when you can achieve similar or better results with less. This only works if you apply the next slide's rule:   3: Train HARD.  Effective and intense > junk volume workouts. Be intentional with your lifts, keeping good form, but with deliberate attention towards giving everything you have each set   4: Meal prep BONEHEAD SIMPLE MEALS.  Oats with protein powder. Chicken, rice, and peas. Ground turkey and potatoes. The simpler the meal, the more likely you are to take the time to prep it.   5: EARN YOUR DOPAMINE.  (I live and die by this rule) Play games AFTER chores, gym, walking, meal prepping, quality time with family, etc. It makes the gaming time more sacred and enjoyable while, (most importantly) training your brain to do the hard things through delayed gratification. Bonus: walk more.  Walk LOTS. You don't even need cardio if you simply walk more. Pair this with a Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, or whatever tickles your fancy and it’s literally so free   Your brain literally rewires itself based on the habits you build. I was able to use gaming as a tool to make myself do hard things and it's fully possible for you too. My Gamer's Guide to Building Muscle puts all of these rules into practice and includes my 4 day Upper Lower training split. Link in bio if you’re interested! Thank you always for the support ❤️ #gamer #bodybuilding #gym #mealprep #musclegain
