@stephvnietea: Mille Feuille Nabe has become my go to meal as of lately and it’s so easy to make. It only takes about 30 minutes to make this delicious soup and perfect for all this crazy weather we’ve been getting 🥶 ➡️ Recipe: Mille-feuille Nabe Dashi stock: - [ ] 5 cups water - [ ] 4 garlic cloves - [ ] 1 small onion 1. Bring to a boil first 2. Add a hand full of bonito flakes 3. Cover and boil for 2-3 mins. Turn off fire then let it steep for 15 mins. Veggie + protein: - [ ] Napa cabbage - [ ] Pork belly - [ ] Taiwanese spinach or regular - [ ] Beech mushrooms and/or enoki 1. Layer Napa, pork and spinach about 7-8layers high. Cut into 3 1/2-4 inch chunks. 2. In pot, layer cabbage/pork pieces on top of yam noodles and some mushrooms making a flower in the pot. In the center add some mushrooms. Soup seasoning: - [ ] 1/4 cup sake - [ ] 1/4 cup soy sauce - [ ] 1/2 tbsp sugar - [ ] 1 tsp salt - [ ] 1 tsp chicken bouillon 1. Pour in sauce mixture. 2. Add the strained dashi stock until 2/3 of the way up the pot. Cover and bring to a boil. Turn heat to med low and simmer for 10-15 mins or until pork is cooked and veggies are cooked for your liking. Enjoy as is with ponzu dipping sauce and rice!
