-thank you for those who have been empathising and synpathising with our situation & those that are tagging straits times & mothership, ive personally already contacted mothership regarding this Update on Amri’s condition: We brought her to the vet who confirmed that 5-6mm of her ear was snipped off and that an infection of about 1CM has spread on her left ear. we’re monitoring her condition and treating her with antibiotics now. She is still showing signs of trauma from the incident, hiding away from us and not playing with us like she used to do. We’re trying our best to make her comfortable whilst doing what we need to do to treat her ear. Comments related to cats not being allowed in HDB: i do not live in a HDB and so this law does not implicate me in any way and you commenting this just shows your ignorance and lack of sensitivity to the situation. Comments related to self-grooming: We do basic grooming for Amri but leave the full body grooming jobs to professionals with experience so that we dont hurt our cats on accident & because groomers should have more experience and grooming tools required. Comments related to bringing her to the vet: We brought her to the vet ASAP the next day so we could wait for her trauma to subside & because the vet wasnt available on the day of the incident. Comments related to the groomer: My intention of making the video was to spread awareness about my experience with this groomer and prevent other fur babies from getting hurt by an inexperienced and unprofessional groomer in sg- not to cancel the business or destroy their rep. I believe the groomer shouldve called us ASAP once he found out about the incident & once he treated her ear, but he didnt- we only found out after we went to pick our cats up. We trusted this groomer despite bad reviews as the reviews were vague and most only touched on the attitude of the staff toward people- not pets. Additionally, weve brought our cats to this groomer for years now and we expect that they would be experienced in grooming our cats. Comments related to me sheltering my cats: My cats have been domesticated since birth, unlike some other cats. They arent like children who can explain their pov, theyre not the same. so yes, i have to be their voice, and yes, i have to shelter them. i took them in to take care of them and thats what i plan to do. #justiceforamri
