My son is not a CI candidate but a candidate for a BAHA. It costs around $6000 and ins will only cover 1 every 3 years.

The hardest with my son CI is the batteries $$$ he use 2 batteries every 27 hours. Hearing aid 1 batterie last about 6 days.. $$$$$$$$$

My daughter has 1… but 2 processors. They were about $10K each. With the surgery cost added, obv more! She loves her CI, it’s purple and adorable :)
