You can actually get mechanics wire and make your own when you run out and make ‘em a bit shorter to “save” on wire they work wonders 🤟🏻🤟🏻

I'd call this a correct repair. To really finish it off you can fill the gaps with black epoxy and sand down. Adds strength, but mostly looks.
