u cant unscrew it without turning the power of at the mains for safety. so tape is quicker and safer.

I'm a sparky, and rarely ever see painters use tape, unscrew the plate, or neatly paint round faceplates. They moan when they clean the paint though.

Just here me out there is no cover on that plug you will or pulling out exposed copper (i lknow this from experience) it’s uk and is plugs
