Higher elevation will boil at a lower temperature so it boils faster but cooks slower. I tried spaghetti up in the mountains and it took forever. 😎

I add salt to near boiling water, it will boil up in a couple of seconds. I do this when I make pasta.

If it makes it boil at a higher temp then wouldn’t that make the food cook faster? I mean, I always thought that was the point. 🤷‍♂️

You shouldn’t put salt in water before it’s boiling because you will pit your stainless steel

As far as I know the main point of adding salt to water is to season the thing you're cooking.
