Today in a yoga class the teacher spoke about सत्य....truth. And damn… it hit me. Because truth isn’t always beautiful. It’s not the light-filled, love-and-gratitude kind of truth people post about. It’s the kind that rips away your armor. The kind that forces you to face yourself. The parts you’ve buried, the pain you’ve avoided, the versions of you that don’t fit anymore. For me, truth has cost me things. Jobs. People. Safety. But it’s also given me something I can’t lose again....myself. Yoga brought me back to that. Back to the body that held it all. Back to the breath that shook but never stopped. Back to the quiet place inside that said, “You already know. You’ve always known.” Truth isn’t always graceful. Sometimes it’s messy tears on the mat. Sometimes it’s shaking in savasana because you finally let go. Sometimes it’s saying, “This isn’t who I am anymore.” But that’s what सत्य really is living in alignment with your soul, not your fear. Choosing honesty over approval. Peace over pretending. And finding beauty in the rawness of becoming. I’m still learning to live there...in that space where it’s not pretty, but it’s real. Because truth, like yoga, isn’t something you master. It’s something you come home to again and again. #yoga #satya #truth #yogaclass #healing
