This isn’t true. There’s a longer contact time, but less force because you’re not pressing off and landing as hard at a slower pace

it also can increase time on your feet too much, like a 12 mile run at 7:00 vs 8:30 is like 20 minutes extra. unnecessary strain on stability muscles
