With everything that is happening in the world, I think it’s extra important we take time to recognize appreciate the equal role of women in our world. Mycology is a field with a long history of prominent women making significant contributions, cataloging, characterizing, and discovering new species. In modern times, social playground have become an incredible medium for expression and education. I am especially impressed by all of the fantastic female mycologists I see on TikTok (and on IG as well).
