Here's the thing, it IS covered. The cost is after the benefit is applied. I wish people understood this. Co-pays, deductible, coinsurance all apply.

my doc sat with my insurance formulary one day just to find something to work that would be covered. she was fantastic.

Usually doctors are pretty knowledgeable when it comes to what your insurance will cover or not, they also will call the company to have it approved

Ok but I have had a neurologist look up my plan’s formulary just to pick meds that were covered. To avoid a headache. It was migraine meds 😂

A lot of times the pharmacy runs it through the insurance wrong😂 I’m an MA, and at least twice a day I have to call the pharmacy and correct them😂
