@alexarosecarlin: Surprised my mom with a surprise adventure around town for her birthday. I tried to get creative to find fun things we can do in our hometown that also made her feel extra special. Her happiness throughout the day was priceless. A good reminder to take the time to make your mom (or any loved one) feel special! What I had planned: picked her up at 6:30am for garage sale hunting and had the whole plan already laid out with houses we'd go to in order. then she picked her first card for a coffee stop. more garage sales, the Raleigh flea market and then met my husband and dad at the brunch spot she chose. when we waited for a table we hit up a few shops. then took her to an outdoor little pop up festival and then her last pick was cotton candy so surprised her with this cool vending machine nearby! ended the day hanging out at her house where my dad, Colby and my mom and I played games, cooked, and opened presents.
