@erekasfood: SHARE my MEATBALL PARM TOAST with someone who needs this in their life!! As much as I love a classic meatball parm sandwich, wedge, hoagie or whatever you call it…it’s messy and generally hard to eat. My redesigned meatball parm makes it easier to share or serve as an appetizer! Serves 6-8 Ingredients: -1.25 lb ground beef, pork and veal mix in large bowl -1/2 cup plain panko bread crumbs -1/3 cup grated parm -1/4 cup chopped parsley -1 tbsp fresh chopped oregano -3/4 tsp salt -1/4 tsp pepper -1/4 onion minced -1 large garlic cloves grated or minced -1 egg -2 loaf of Italian bread cut in 1/2 the long way (each loaf was approximately 11inches long) -16 thin slices of fresh mozzarella -1 cup low-moisture shredded mozzarella -2 tbsp melted butter -1 cup red sauce Instructions -Preheat oven 400F -Add the first 10 ingredients to a large bowl. Use your hands to mix well. -Place the bread on a baking sheet, top with fresh mozzarella (approximately 4 slices per 1/2 loaf) -Divide the meat mixture by 4 and spread a layer on top of the mozzarella. Use the back of a fork to press the mixture flat. -Brush the edges of the bread that are exposed with butter. -Top each 1/2 loaf with a 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella and bake for approximately 22 min or until the edges of the bread are golden brown and crispy. -Serve warm. #sandwich #toast #meatballs #meatballparm #lunch #appetizer #Recipe
