@thezenhenandthehoneybee: Sourdough Starter Recipe Day 1: Combine 1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour or Unbleached White Flour with 1/2 Cup room temp to warm water in a glass jar. Mix well and lightly cover so it can still breathe. Keep in a warmish location or room temp. I keep mine next to my food dehydrator where it’s slightly warmer than room temp. Day 2: Feed it! Add 1/2 cup flour and 1/3 cup water. Mix well. Day 3. Discard down to about 1/2 cup total volume. Eyeballing is fine! This doesn’t have to be exact Feed it again with 1/2 flour and 1/3 cup water. Mix well. Days 4-6: repeat same steps from day 3 Day 7: Your starter is ready. Let make some bread! Let me know if you want starter discard recipes!
