I was taught turn off the lidded pot once it boils, leave on burner for 15 minutes. Boom perfect hard boiled egg. No gadget needed.

I went instapot for hard-boiled eggs and never looked back. they always peel easy and you can cook up to 18 at one time

Boil eggs on high for 5 minutes, take off heat and cover 12-15 minutes. Cool off in ice water 10-15 minutes.

I just boil my water on high and once it’s boiling I put my eggs in the boiling water and rapid boil them for 12 minutes.
