@surayaskitchen: Recipe #3 for my Ramadan series is Mhalabiyeh, it is one of my favorite desserts since I was a child! It’s a creamy milk pudding😋 I added a special touch of pistachio pudding on top to take it to the next level, recipe is written down below! -5 cups whole milk -1/2 cup cornstarch -1/2 cup sugar -1 tsp rose water -pistachios for garnish Pistachio pudding -1/2 cup pistachios -1 tablespoon sugar -1/4 cup milk - leftover milk pudding To a medium pot add the milk, cornstarch, sugar, and rose water, mix until there are no lumps. Bring to a simmer and then lower the heat and simmer on low until the milk thickens. Save some of the milk pudding to make the pistachio pudding. Add the pistachios to a food processor with 1/4 cup milk and 1 tablespoon of sugar and blend well. Add it to the remaining milk pudding and mix it well. Let the regular milk pudding thicken up and then Pour the pistachio pudding on top of the milk pudding. Let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour to thicken some more into a pudding like consistency.
