@thekwendyhome: I bought 🌷 for science 😌 Fun fact: tulips continue to grow when cut! The pin prick method is said to work because it lets air escape and helps the water flow to the bloom. Other day it’s because the pin prick creates a wound and the tulip uses energy to seal the wound rather than exert energy to grow taller. The penny drop method is said to work because the copper in the penny acts as a fungicide and kills off bacteria and fungi in your vase of water. Make sure to use a penny from before 1981 for the highest amount of copper for this hack. Which hack do you think is more effective? I’ve been doing this since 2017 and swear by both methods! #tulipseason #tulips #flowerlovers #flowertips #tuliptime #SpringIsHere #flowerpower #bouquet #tulipbouquet #flowerhack

spring blooms with hollow stems like vodka, about a tbsp per litre. Sugars in vodka keep them perky

Keep the cover that they come in on for 30 minutes after putting them in water, helps them straighten up at the right angle

Hi i run a flowershop with my mom :) U can use bleach or floral food instead of the penny, it will disinfect the water and the flowers love it;

Tulips really like light, wrapping them in tissue/Kraft paper and letting them reach for light will actually make them straighten
