As a car mechanic I’d imagine it’s the same for bikes I would normally warm up the car so the oil is at its highest viscosity so it comes out better

You warm it up for the oil to flow faster, and you NEVER "prime" a filter, all oil you pour in there will reach the bearings unfiltered

you heat up the oil yo help it come out easier. warmer it is the more viscous it becomes and the quicker and easier it pours out

At the dealership we only prime filters of bikes 900cc+, head tech says it’s to help the filter fill up faster on first start to filter faster I dunno

when you run the oil it mixes up the debris so it's in the old oil and it makes it so less debris stays on the bottom
