It’s not every day you’re on a billboard or have a wound vac so… I had to document both 😂 When I started my weight loss journey I NEVER thought my results could be used to motivate other people. It was a goal that felt so unattainable for myself, I never in my wildest dreams saw myself on the other side. I had tried and failed losing weight way more times than I’d like to admit. But the one thing I never did was give up on myself. At 310 pounds I isolated myself to a basement for months on end. I quit my job and stopped going out in public all together. I distanced myself from friends and family that cared deeply for me. I became so insecure and truly felt like I was a waste of space because of my size. I made myself invisible and minimized my self worth all because I didn’t fit societies messed up standards. To the girl I was 148 pounds ago - you are worthy NOW, you were worthy THEN. You are strong, resilient, healthy and HAPPY. We did it. ♥️ And now we will advocate for those who are in the midst of what you went through to get here. Also… YOU’RE ON FREAKIN BILLBOARDS!!!
