HOC is from soil to top of leaf, using a prism gauge is the best way

I cut mine on no6 or no7 notch for our main grass, the snot that grows up the side on No 5 cause it's council land and I keep it just short and tidy.

If my lawn is fairly tall and thick how do I cut it shorter, when I go shorter the mow tends to dig in and create crop like circles
