it's actually a safer option despite the delay. Pilots are trained to do this instead of risking the lives of the whole plane for a forced landing.

I just been jeju from seoul from late January, that time was blizzard and snow heavily, flight cancelled and only can fly the next day. Safety impt 😁

I also kenna before!!! Same route otw Jeju haha 😂 but mine only had to circle for 30-40 minutes extra, but was already sibeh pek chek cause hungry 😂

This happened to us when we were flying to Frankfurt in the summer of 2024, the wind was at the wrong angle to the tail of the plane. It was really scary.

I’ve been to Jeju 2 times. But I never experienced this. All I got was my flight out of Jeju got delayed for 1 hour because of the wildfire and smoke.
